Please contact us for specific rates and dates. At this time we are seeking guests who will rent for a month or more. An hour from Montreal, "Fox Chalet" is a beautifully renovated lakefront chalet (185' waterfront) with a spectacular view, private beach, and two fully functional levels (upper and lower). Fox Chalet is, in effect, two chalets in one. And enjoy your privacy: there are no neighbouring cottages within 200m of either side. Located on large and navigable Lac St-Joseph, all types of boating are permitted, and a kayak and canoe are available on site. Rentals are also available 2 minutes away (pontoon, canoe, kayak, pedal, etc). The expansive dock has a 16' x 24' platform. It is frequented by ducks you will love to feed. The beach surrounds the dock and is a swimming paradise. The yard is a manicured garden, lawn and fire pit nestled beside a giant spruce and the water. Upper Level: The open-concept kitchen has granite counters, and all stainless appliances including fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and wine cooler. It opens onto the main deck and a solarium. The cathedral-ceiling living room is tastefully appointed with leather furniture and has a magisterial view that runs the length of Lac St-Joseph. The living room also has a fireplace, Apple TV with Netflix, Prime, basic cable, and stereo. The bathroom holds a new washer and dryer. The floors are hardwood and tile throughout. The upper level is surrounded on three sides by a spacious wrap-around deck that is gated, making it a generous and safe play area for small children. In 2017 we extended the deck outward by 3 feet, making it more comfortable for outdoor dining and better for sun tanning. The deck boasts a new (2021) Weber gas BBQ.
Lower Level: The lower level has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. It has a warm cottage feel with pine walling and its own fireplace in the living room. As with the upper level, it has windows on three sides with a magnificent view of the lake. The living room has it's own fireplace, Apple TV with Netflix, dvd, and stereo. The lower level is flanked by a cobblestone patio on three sides.
The main kitchen on the upper level is fully equipped with glassware, dishes, cooking ware, flat ware, coffee makers and filters, toasters, etc. The lower level kitchen is reasonably equipped. The beds in all the bedrooms are queens. One of the lower-level bedrooms has an additional single bed. A wide assortment of indoor and outdoor toys for infants and young children are available.
The two levels are connected by interior and exterior gated stairs, making Fox Chalet an ideal get-away for multiple families or couples. The property is ideal as well for individuals with mobility challenges (e.g., individuals who use wheelchairs or walkers), since there are no stairs to traverse to enter either the upper or lower levels.
Fresh and high-quality linens and towels are provided. A kayak, canoe and life jackets are also provided.
The cottage sleeps 6 comfortably.

NOTES Please contact us for specific rates and dates. The monthly is the rate for 4 weeks (28 days) during the summer period June 7 - September 7, 2021. At this time we are seeking guests who will rent for 32 days or more. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required in advance to secure the reservation. The remainder of the fee (75%) plus a $400 security deposit is required 30 days in advance of occupancy. The security deposit will be returned following departure, assuming no missing or damaged property. Once the rental is paid it is non-refundable unless cancellation is made 60 days in advance (100%) or 30 days in advance (50%). If the remaining 75% is not paid 30 days in advance of occupancy, the 25% deposit and the reservation is forfeited. | We spent a wonderful Thankgiving weekend at Fox Chalet. The layout was perfect for our family. Great location, lots of room, clean and well equipped. A good selection of toys for young children. We enjoyed spending time on the dock and the deck in the mornings with our coffees, and then gathering as a family around the fireplace in the evenings. Evan is an excellent host and easily contactable. We intend to rent again next year, as we really enjoyed our stay.

| We are just returning from a week at Fox Chalet. This cottage has everything. It is great for families with young children. So many toys!! The sandy beach was great. The kitchen was well equipped (and beautiful). We were able to enjoy our morning coffee while the kids played on the gated deck. It's also hard to find a place with flat land and a sandy beach for kids. This place is that, plus way more! I would recommend this place to anyone.

| Over the years, we have spent many summer holidays in various cottages in Quebec and Ontario, but never have we been quite so spoiled as over the past two weeks at Fox Chalet.
This beautiful chalet rests on the shores of a sandy beach with a breathtaking view of forested hills beyond the lake. Our three children spent entire days playing in the sand, feeding ducks and collecting shells, while my husband and I relaxed on the large dock.
The chalet itself is exceptionally well equipped and refreshingly clean, so even on those partially rainy days we could enjoy the wonderful view from a delightful interior.
We all highly recommend this cottage.
