Need some time by yourself to reconnect with your favorite book, all bundled up in a warm blankie? Or maybe some fresh air and a romantic getaway, with hiking and a picnic in the Ouareau Forest You'll find happiness at the cozy cottage - Au bout du Lac - . During the summer, you can sip your morning coffee on the exterior terrace, enjoying a beautiful view of the lake and listening to the birds singing. In the winter, spend the evening by the fire with a glass of port. The cottage is close to hiking trails, a golf course, ski resorts, a vacation resort and quality restaurants.
For your comfort
The living area is approximately 900 sq. ft., and the cottage features a bungalow layout of two average sized bedrooms, along with an open living room, dining room and kitchen area.
The full service bathroom includes a corner tub and shower, a washer (biodegradable soap included) and dryer. Sheets, kitchen towels and bath towels are included.
The well-furnished kitchen includes small appliances and basic cooking spices, as well as coffee, tea and sugar. You can cook on both the cooking range and exterior BBQ (gas included), or toast marshmallows by the campfire in the designated fire pit (wood included).
NOTE: The cottage's water is fed from an artesian well and is non-potable. While the water is unsuitable for drinking, it can be used for everything else (ex: washing dishes or clothes, showering, etc.). For drinking water, we provide 18 L tanks of Labrador source water.
Outside, the large front patio and oversized rear balcony provide a beautiful view of the lake and surroundings. A long quay provides access to the lake, making it easy to get into the kayaks made available (safety vests for 2 adults, 2 children included).
Before leaving, don't forget to:
1- Drop all sheets and towels in the bath tub
2- Dispose of garbage and recycling materials in the correct bins by the road
3- Put things back to their original place, close all doors and windows and turn off the lights and fans.
4- Put the entry key back in the key box.

Rules
This is a non-smoking cottage where pets are not allowed. The maximum occupancy for overnight stays is 4 adults, except if allowed otherwise by the owners. Please remove shoes while inside. Out of respect for neighbors, please avoid making noise before 9AM and after 10PM. All year long, entry doors must remain closed at all times to avoid wild animals from getting in. Exterior furniture must stay outside, while interior furniture must remain inside. If you use any equipment on the water (ex: kayak), you must follow water safety standards from Transport Canada and wear personal flotation devices (life jackets). Campfire: please use the designated exterior fire pit in its current location (do not move it) and use the supplied firewood. If you run out of firewood, please contact the owner: it is forbidden to cut down trees. For your safety: the chalet has direct access to the lake (no motors allowed), the lot is unfenced and children require constant supervision while outside. Failing to follow the rules will result in an immediate warning. The owner may expel tenants who fail to follow property rules with no compensation.
