Spectacular, private, spacious, waterfront cottage on pristine Lac Pilon. This lake is tested each year and boasts one of the cleanest lakes in Canada. It is quiet and serene. In the summer, one can sit on the large balcony, facing the water and listen to the peaceful sound of loons. There are no motorized vehicles allowed on this lake, which makes this cottage a relaxing experience where you are always surrounded by beauty and nature. Within the cottage you will find three main sitting areas and a dining room. There are also three flat screen TVs (one in the master bedroom, one in the pool table room and one in the fireplace room). If you like to host dinner parties, the kitchen is fully stocked with serving platters, dishes, roasting/ baking pans, mixing bowls etc.
Enjoy the private beach, dock and tethered swim up raft in front of the property. There is a rowboat, a kayak and a canoe to be used at your leisure. Enjoy playing Bocce ball, badminton or volleyball on the spacious lawn, or just sit and enjoy the flowers in the rock garden surrounding the house. Or on a cold winter's night, relax in the Jacuzzi bathtub, or by the fireplace. On a rainy day or for an evening of fun, enjoy the many available board games, as well as the pool table, dart board, Crokinole board, or poker set. There is also a beautiful, well maintained tennis court and a children's playground only about one minute by car, up the main road (a nice 15-20 minute walk).
During the summer there is a vast network of well maintained hiking/mountain biking trails. These trails are used for cross-country (very hilly) skiing in the winter. For easier cross-country skiing or snow-shoeing, the lake is a wonderful place when frozen. There is also plenty of space to create a large ice-skating rink, just in front of the property.
The cottage is also located very close to the famous "P'tit train du Nord" which is a 200 km bike or cross-country skiing path, built on an old train track, that starts just north of Montreal, and runs up, through Ste. Adele, continuing further north into the Laurentians.
Nearby you will find the longest downhill ski-valley/corridor in Canada, which runs between Saint Sauveur and Mont Tremblant. In-between you will also find various spas located on the river. These famous spas are open in the winter and the summer. In winter you can enjoy a hot steam and then a dunk in the icy river water; very refreshing and rejuvenating.
Saint-Adele itself has a wonderful bakery, an SAQ, a freshly stocked Metro grocery store, and all other amenities you could possibly want (hardware store, flower shop etc.). And finally, if you are a "foody" and would like to enjoy a meal out, you will find a few, well-renowned restaurants - definitely worth trying.
We aim to rent to responsible, clean people who respect the environment, nature and personal property. If you are interested, please email us.
