Magnificent cottage located along the Croche River in Haute Mauricie. La Belle Étoile offers you an enchanting site in the heart of unspoiled nature. Comfort and tranquility are part of the atmosphere that reigns there. A perfect place to meet up with family or friends.
In summer, several activities available: river descent (www.meandre.ca), hiking, beach volleyball, swimming, biking.
In winter you can snowshoe on a 3 km loop on the ground. 25km away are scenic cross-country and snowshoe trails as well as downhill ski trails.
It is possible to fish on the river, walleye and pike. You need to plan your equipment.
Hiking and mountain biking trails are available 30 minutes from the chalet. Otherwise it is possible to walk around.
The chalet is a lovingly designed family building.
Construction started in 2010. The wood was cut in the forest within 20 km of the location. It was stripped, mounted, sanded and varnished by hand by a village craftsman. The owners as well as friends and family participated in the construction and finishing of all the installations in addition to the logs.
The chalet was designed by an architect who devoted herself to the design and construction of this majestic habitat. The windows are facing south to maximize the entry of light and heat in winter and reduce it in summer. The living space is spacious and comfortable for groups or for privacy.
Respect for places and spaces is essential.

In winter the main rooms on the 2nd floor (kitchen, dining room and living room) are heated with wood, which is included.
Make it like your home! The chalet belongs to individuals, a family, who wishes to find their personal effects and accessories in the loaned state.

***To preserve the water in good condition and that future tenants have access to it, make sure you do not bring anything into the spa, drink or other that could affect the quality of the water. ***
In summer, make sure to rinse your feet well so as not to put sand in the spa

The spa is functional year-round. If the rules of use have not been respected by previous travelers and thus make it non-functional, we are not responsible for this. We will do everything in our power to make it work.

Do not leave anything on the beach in the evening, the water can rise a lot in one night...!

The doors tend to bounce when you close them, so they can remain open without your knowledge... Hello flies and mice...! Spread the word to the guests in order to close them well.
We accept dogs for a fee of $50/stay. You must pick up your dog's needs out of respect for the next tenants and to keep the place clean.
No dogs in the bedrooms and on the couch.
