CITQ - For a guarantee of quality and peace of mind The Savary House, located on the shore of Lac Sept-Iles is an exquisite lakefront home situated 40 minutes northwest of beautiful and historic Quebec City. The charming town of Saint-Raymond, a 5 minute drive from the Lac Sept-Iles, is renowned for its fine cheese factory (Alexis du Portneuf), and has many restaurants, shops, groceries and a liquor store. Nestled in a quiet bay of Lac Sept-Iles, this cottage sleeps 6 comfortably and is especially suited for a family with children. Your day will begin with breakfast on a large private outdoor deck facing the lake where the sun will warm you as you enjoy your morning coffee. During the day you can enjoy the kayaks, a paddleboat, 14 foot aluminium rowboat or your own boat, which can be docked on the property. With 4 acres of forest to explore, you will certainly see an assortment of wildlife including deer, mink, great blue heron, loon and many ducks. The large grassy area adjacent to the home will certainly help you and your children refine your soccer skills, or simply enjoy a game of badminton, frisbee or soccer. There is an impressive dock for those of you who want to enjoy the sun or read a book while watching your children play in the crystal clear water or on the small sandy beach. After a long day in the sun, you will enjoy a barbeque on the shaded deck while you watch the sun set over the mountains . At night, you can sing songs and roast marshmallows around the outdoor fireplace.
If you are a cyclist, be sure to bring you bikes. Hundred of kilometers of bike paths were built on the old railway tracks and they will bring you to local towns and all the way to Quebec City and Montmorency Falls. World class mountain biking trails are accessible nearby. For those who feel adventurous zip lining for children and adults is available nearby.
This 1,100 square foot home, completely renovated, has a fully equipped kitchen with island, a large dining room, and family room all of which have a magnificent view of the lake. The two bedrooms are equipped with three queen-sized beds with high end "Sealy Posterpedic" mattresses to ensure a comfortable sleep. The full size bathroom has a large soaker tub and a separate shower. Laundry facilities are also available.
The home is available all year around; the summer is best for warm days and long evenings at the lake, the fall is world renowned for it's magnificent foliage and colors, winter for the best snowmobiling in Eastern Canada and spring skiing is on until mid April.
A stay at Savary House would not be complete without a visit to Quebec City. Designated a World Heritage treasure by Unesco, Old Quebec is the only walled city north of Mexico. As the cradle of French civilization in North America, it's a living history lesson with a remarkable mix of natural beauty, architecture, heritage, art and culture. Dining in one of Quebec City's charming restaurants, some with a view of the majestic Saint-Laurent river, or a simple walk along Old Quebec boutiques, is something all visitors need to experience.
The great great grandson of Ferdinand Savary, who was one of the first settlers of Lac Sept Iles in the 1800's, welcomes you to the Savary House.

| Ma famille, qui consiste de 2 adultes et trois garçons âgés de 7 à 12 ans, avons passé une semaine au mois de juillet à la Maison Savary. c'était notre première expérience à la maison Savary mais pas au lac sept îles. Cette semaine à ete la meilleure que nous ayons passée depuis que nous venons visiter avec notre famille. La location du chalet, dans la Baie Savary, est idéale car elle nous protège du traffic sur le lac. Le chalet est très propre et possède tout ce dont nous avons eu besoin. Les enfants et adultes aussi ont adorés les trois kayaks, le canot et le pédalo. Nous nous sommes déplacés à St-Raymond que pour aller faire l'épicerie. Nous avons même abandonné nos plans d'aller à Québec car nous avons préfères rester au chalet pour relaxer. Nous avons aussi pris avantages des activités locales telles que le vélo de montagne et le canot sur la rivière bras du nord. Nous louons un chalet tous les étés sur different lacs et les enfants insistent que nous retournions à la maison Savary l'été prochain!
