| The chalet is spotlessly clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook, but remember to bring all your ingredients, none are provided i.e spices. The beds were very comfortable (and I'm fussy). There were games for the kids and the ping pong table was a big hit. The hot tub was clean and worked well. We took advantage of it. The only downside to our stay was the "lake". Maybe I didn't read the fine print, but it isn't waterfront. The lake is down a hill, across a quiet road and through a grassy path. That wasn't a big deal for us. The dock is nice, and the canoe and paddle boat were great. Our only complaint was the lake itself, I would describe it more as a stagnant pond. The water isn't very deep, so canoeing can be tricky. Since it is a small body of water without much movement, it attracts many insects. Also, my son went in the water and came out with a leech attached to his ankle. For better swimming, head to the public beach in town, barely 10 minutes away. We did enjoy our stay and checking in and out was easy. I enjoyed sitting on the upstairs deck early in the morning listening to the chipmunks and birds.
