| Dont want to be a debby downer but the negatives outweight the positives on this property. We wont be going back sadly. Positive notes: -most gorgeous chalet and location i have been to (my guests agreed) -music can be played throughout and outstide of the cabin -in close proximity to grocery and saq -hot tub overlooking beautiful scenery -noone around Cons: -They have cameras around the property and it felt like we were being watched constantly, i received a few emails from the owner during my stay...one of them was "put the hot tub cover back on, the hydro bill is already through the roof this month...(sent to me on the Saturday night , we were only leaving Monday, but i left early Sunday) -The front door lock was automatic and jammed, so we had the door slightly opened all night with a couch pushed up against it to keep it shut as best we could until the owner had replied to me. (we troubleshooted over the phone the next day) -The wood on the door frame fell over almost knocking one of my friends on the head...

Owner response: Hi Melissa, I am truly sorry that this review came now when rental was over 4 months ago, that being said, i did include a free night for your special event, and the cameras are not to spy but for security of all parties, yes i called the morning after after seeing the cover wasn't put back at minus 20C outside, that's the minimum you should have done, and you would be upset when the yearly hydro monthly bill is 960$ per month. As for the door, the door frame is a piece of wood that weighs ounces that couldn't knock out a cat let alone a human. Again we wish everyone a wonderful stay and only have 5 star reviews on AirBnb and other platforms, wishing you a better stay elsewhere in the future. As the temperature outside was -20C, it was essential to ensure that the cover was secure to prevent any damage and rise in electricity usage. Regarding the door frame, I understand your concerns, but I assure you that it is a lightweight piece of wood weighing roughly an ounce, that poses no danger to humans or animals. | We really needed a place to get away to and just relax, this chalet did not disappoint!! The views are amazing and the accommodations leave nothing to be desired from the professional gas range to walk in pantry and industrial fridge. Plenty of room to gather yet retreat to your own space!! We will definitely be going back. The village of St. Michel des Saints is quaint and has everything you need for those items that you may have forgotten!
