An ancestral log home, rustic, warm and cozy on the edge of a calm and peaceful lake. Very close to Lac Simon, without the crowds and the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve, with more amenities.

The cottage with its unique cachet benefits from 215 feet of frontage on a peaceful 5 km lake. This residence has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom! A large 40 feet balcony offers a magnificent view of this 5 km body of water mostly surrounded by crown land.

Duhamel is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise, plenty of ATV and walking trails, fishing and wildlife. In addition, we are located 15 minutes from the public beach area of lac Simon (https://www.sepaq.com/ct/sim/).

The lake provides the running water in the cottage and in addition we provide water bottles for your clean water needs. There is a wood burning stove inside for those early and late season chilly evenings and an outdoor fire pit area supplied with wood. The cottage is also equipped with a heating and cooling unit to ease those very hot and humid Summer days and provide a quick warm-up on those cooler mornings. Both bedrooms are located on the top floor and the washroom is on the main floor. WIFI is currently not available however, the cellular network work very well.

The access to the cottage is via a privately maintained road, it is very steep and windy for approximately half a kilometre. The use of an all wheel drive vehicle is essential.
