Located in Danville, in the Eastern Townships, this unique place will charm you with its immersion in nature, and provide you with everything you need for a successful, peaceful stay. More than 20 acres of mostly wooded land, bordered by the Rivière Nicolet, await you. The name of the chalet was not chosen at random: there is a magnificent waterfall that embellishes this river. To get there, a 5-minute walk along a gravel path (suitable for baby carriages) takes you to a platform with a shelter overlooking the river. You can admire the waterfall from the comfort of the shelter. You can't get enough of it! Soothing sounds accompany you, a mixture of calm, trickling water and birdsong, accompanied by the breeze of the waterfall. The surroundings are simply enchanting; the forest, with its tall trees perched on the cliffs, offers scenery the likes of which you've rarely seen.
Swimming is not possible at the waterfall. The waters are rough and dangerous for anyone wishing to approach them.
The river, however, runs along the entire length of the site, widening as it moves away from the waterfall. The water is calmer, depending on the area and the previous days' rainfall. Swimming is possible in the area where the river is wider. For this area, however, you'll have to walk about 10 minutes to get there, across the field, and the descent to the water's edge is steep.
In all seasons, you'll have access to an outdoor fireplace, with wood provided. Whether you're a couple, a family or a group of friends, it's always a pleasure to gather around a roaring fire in the evening. Come and swing around the fire in the beautiful big swings! The place is perfect for star-gazing. A private 4-season spa awaits you for additional relaxation. It's covered, so it's perfect for rainy days!
