We welcome you to Chalet Okitaskami. This word means 'Earth, ground' in Atikamekw. It's not only a language but also one of the 11 First Nations of Quebec. Paying tribute to the First Nations of Canada is very important to us because it constitutes the entire history of this country.

The chalet is located in a quiet and peaceful place. Everything is designed for you to have a wonderful vacation with friends or family.

The chalet is a single-story house. There are two bedrooms, a full bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-seat island. The living room has a smart TV and a view of the wood-burning fireplace. A workspace is set up with a magnificent view of the garden and the lake. The dining room with a view of the garden and the lake can accommodate 6 people.

Outdoors:

The hot tub is in a covered area, protected from the weather. The property is large, private, and well-landscaped with an outdoor fireplace area, lounge chairs, and a dining table. Access to Lake Lafond is 300 meters from the chalet.

We provide:

Two single kayaks, a private hot tub, and both indoor and outdoor fireplaces.

All the paintings in the chalet are reproductions of First Nations artists who are represented throughout Canada. Books and objects are also at your disposal for you to learn more on the subject.

Hiking at the 'Sentiers de l'Amitié' (Friendship Trails) located 10 minutes away by car.
