Come and experience high tides by finding yourself on a site cut off from the rest of the world for the duration of a tide. Small loft chalet on the edge of the fjord. Located at Anse de Roches, (village of Sacré Coeur on the fjord), 15 minutes from Tadoussac, the building is directly on the water's edge. This unique site offers tranquility and privacy. Perfect for reconnecting with nature while having the opportunity to see marine mammals such as: belugas, minke whales, gray seals, sea otters, etc.)
The building, in the style of a troglodyte house, is embedded in the granite cape of the fjord. The level terrain begins on the bank of the fjord and goes up into the mountain to offer different exceptional viewpoints.

PLEASE NOTE - Access by car is dependent on the tides because the only vehicle route passes via the Saguenay bank and is unfounded when the tide is high. Access is via a small footpath. Which involves a short hike of a few minutes up the mountain. Perfect for kayakers who want to be ready to go sailing.

It's a tiny house by the water, beautiful location with a great view, we even saw whales from right outside the house. It is not accessible by car, to get to the house you need to walk either through the forest at a pretty steep hill or down/up steep stairs and across the river bed on rocky terrain (careful, it's slippery) or sand if the tide is low enough. The host helped us carrying our luggage there. It would have been useful to know that bringing a backpack is a better choice than bringing a suitcase or duffle bag which were difficult to carry given the lack of a path to walk on.

A few of the pictures here are not displaying the tiny house you'll stay at but the cottage next door which is rented to other guests. Many of the amenities listed (telephone, internet, cable, satellite, bbq, dock, paddle boards) are part of this other cottage.

It says there is a bathroom, the tiny house has a toilet and a sink which will have to double as bathroom and kitchen sink. There is no outside shower as advertised. Upon asking about the shower situation we were offered to use the bathroom in the cottage for 1h at set hours which varied day by day (depending on when the other guests weren't home).

The wifi does not work (and there is hardly any mobile internet which wouldn't be an issue if the wifi worked). When I asked about the wifi and explained that I needed internet connection to a) work and b) etransfer the remaining money for our stay I was told to go get cash in town.
