The main floor of the home is defined by its soaring ceilings and expansive windows that frame uninterrupted views of the water from the large kitchen area, the grand main dining room, and the inviting sitting room. Whether you are gathering in the kitchen by its old barn wood breakfast bar, hosting around the huge welcoming dining table with antique chairs, or relaxing on the soft leather sofas, the choice of picturesque view is entirely yours. The kitchen comes fully equipped with premium appliances, including an induction hob, a filter coffee machine, a large pantry, and a large fridge-freezer. The grand dining room is ideal for hosting friends or simply enjoying the company of your family for a hearty supper; gathering around a custom solid old oak dining table, crafted in the UK, that comfortably seats ten, with a large chandelier overhead. With its wood-clad walls, and high ceilings, eating and merriment sitting at the table is truly something to behold. Steps away from this is the sitting room complete with another stunning and huge chandelier hanging from the domed wood-clad ceiling, a dedicated reading and chess seating area, and a comfortable leather suite surrounding the stone fireplace with stove and a smart TV. Alternatively, you can step out onto the large, screened outdoor terrace (seasonal) to dine al fresco while fully protected from the elements, constructed from huge wooden trunks and complete with its own dining table and sofa seating. All designed to effortlessly balance productive remote work with deep relaxation, the estate features distinct zones to keep your daily life beautifully organised.
The master suite features a magnificent super king wooden sleigh bed, a private balcony overlooking the lake, and a recently installed ensuite complete with a freestanding bath, custom wooden vanity units, and natural stone tiling. Another highlight is the unique "round room," which boasts a historic four-poster bed and equally stunning views across the water. The blue room features an imported French mahogany double bed, a fold-out sofa bed, a velvet sofa, a dedicated reading and work space, a smart TV, a rocking chair, and its own private entrance. Finally, the fourth bedroom is a multi-use room with a double (inc. a super comfy foam mattress) and a single bunk, which can be used perfectly as a family room or kids' bedroom. For professionals, the upstairs reading room and the blue bedroom both serve as quiet workspaces filled with natural light, both are supported by high-speed Wi-Fi which is throughout the home.
Outside, two acres of manicured lawns lead directly to a private waterfront jetty. The lake averages eight to nine feet in depth, making it perfect for safe swimming out to the anchored seasonal swim platform. From here, the four kilometres of private trails include a variety of walks from a scenic walking path that loops completely around the lake and winds through your personal forest, to steeper hill climbs and trails for the the more adventurous. The lake path is a peaceful route for morning strolls and is suitable for children most of the year, where you can spot local wildlife, from deer in the woods to blue herons, ducks, and otters along the shoreline.
Winter guests will especially appreciate the mudroom and utility area. It is fully equipped for the active lifestyle, offering the perfect dedicated space for hanging skis, storing winter gear, and efficiently drying boots after a day on the snow. When it is time to unwind, you can step into your private indoor sauna, retreat to the basement games room for a game of billiards, sit in front of the fire, or enjoy multiple smart televisions spread across the living spaces.
To preserve the pristine ecosystem and ensure absolute tranquility, the lake is reserved exclusively for paddle, electric, and non-motorised watercraft. The property comes fully equipped for recreation with a standard canoe, a children's canoe, a stand-up paddleboard, a rowing boat, a badminton net, and two mountain bikes perfectly suited for exploring the private trails.
If you wish to venture beyond your private boundaries, the famous Le P'tit Train du Nord trail network is only six kilometres away, accessible right past the prestigious Royal Laurentides Golf Club. In the winter, the area becomes a world-class destination for all types of skiing, and there is local access to the 30,000 km snowmobile trail network. Downhill ski enthusiasts will appreciate being just a short drive from the slopes of Mont Blanc and the region's premier ski resorts. Everyday essentials are remarkably convenient, with a general store, bakery, pharmacy, gas station, and excellent dining options all located within a fifteen-minute drive.
To maintain the quality of the estate, guests are always welcome to arrive late or depart early to accommodate personal travel schedules, though the rate remains fixed for the full 32-day block. The home comfortably hosts up to eight overnight guests, and daytime visitors are welcome to enjoy the estate until 10:00pm. We are also happy to consider hosting your pets with prior approval; please note that a select screening process applies, along with an additional pet cleaning fee to ensure the home remains pristine. Parties or events are not allowed.
For your peace of mind and property protection, three external security cameras monitor the driveway parking zone and remote trail entrances only. | This cottage is an amazing find. It's exactly as it appears in the photos and description. The owner Richard is lovely and helpful. This cottage is his pride and joy and is his family's second home, which means it's all high quality and well cared for. The property is completely secluded, private, and quiet. We stayed for a month in July and the lake was warm and swimmable, and we enjoyed the paddle board and kayak. It's the perfect place for a big family/group since there is tons of space to spread out, and the master bedroom is quiet and has a beautiful ensuite bathroom. Our favourite room was definitely the screened in porch where we ate meals and lounged in the fresh air. The kitchen is great and well stocked with everything you could need to cook nice meals, plus there's a charcoal BBQ. The washer and dryer are large and convenient. WiFi worked great. Overall we had a fantastic stay. Highly recommend.

| this is a magical place! this is a place for people who enjoy solitude and privacy, with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. there is a private lake with everything needed to enjoy it, there is a fire pit and there are private trails for short hikes right from the door step. this is a place visited by geese and ducks, where toads and insects sing at night, where the stars and the moon are reflected in the lake. this is a place one would like to keep secret but for the kindness of the owner who makes everything to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable, I felt compelled to write this review for others to enjoy. thank you, Richard! we loved our stay

| It was a winter wonderland. We rented this cottage during ski season, and the house is both cozy and well-appointed, with fun cheeky decor. Every room has large windows with beautiful views of the lake and forest, and there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We spent our evenings relaxing by the fire and playing board games, and the kitchen is large and spacious with high-end appliances and all the essentials. My teenagers loved playing pool and darts in the games room, and we all enjoyed exploring the trails around the property—and even made our own toboggan runs, which was a highlight. Richard, the host, is helpful and accommodating, and I would highly recommend this chalet for a family getaway. It's very private and peaceful, and an easy place to relax and unwind—a great spot for family time and making memories.

| We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. As a family with 3 young kids everything inside and out was perfect for us. The house was beautiful with lots of space, well appointed kitchen and great bathrooms. A fantastic large screened in porch for eating and relaxing. The lake had a dock but also a shallow entry for the kids. They loved to use the boats, the nature hikes and to watch the frogs, beavers and birds. The cottage is situated close to many lovely towns and national parks for days out to beaches, pools, cafes and restaurants. Richard was a great host, very responsive and helpful. We had an unforgettable time making wonderful memories with our family. We hope to come back one day!
