Welcome to Refuge Chez Joe, a charming chalet with an authentic character nestled in the heart of the forest in Saint-Lucien, in the beautiful Centre-du-Québec region.
Here, life naturally slows down. Surrounded by the Nicolet Southwest River, expansive woodlands and the sounds of nature, everything invites you to relax, unwind and enjoy meaningful moments together.
Ideally located between Drummondville, Victoriaville, Trois-Rivières and Sherbrooke, Refuge Chez Joe offers a peaceful setting while remaining close to essential services and a wide variety of activities. Whether you're looking to disconnect from everyday life, work remotely in an inspiring environment or explore the region, you'll find the perfect balance between comfort and nature.
The chalet can accommodate up to 6 guests, with the possibility of hosting up to 8 guests for an additional fee. It features three bedrooms spread over three levels. Upstairs, the primary bedroom includes a King bed, a single sofa bed and a dedicated workspace with a monitor, ideal for remote work. Two additional bedrooms with Double beds are located in the basement, along with two full bathrooms.
The chalet also features a functional kitchen, an indoor wood-burning fireplace, high-speed Internet, air conditioning, a washer and dryer, and an electric vehicle charging station.
A new addition makes your stay even more relaxing: an outdoor hot tub is now available for guests to enjoy. Unwind surrounded by the forest after a day spent exploring the region.
Outside, you'll also find a furnished terrace, a charcoal BBQ (charcoal provided), an outdoor wood-burning firepit and access to the Nicolet Southwest River approximately 100 metres from the chalet. Nearby trails are perfect for walking, cycling or snowshoeing, depending on the season. Nature lovers will also appreciate the area's abundant wildlife, where you may spot herons, kingfishers, deer, turtles and birds of prey.
The region offers plenty of activities to enhance your stay. Discover the Sentier de Saint-Lucien, Village Québécois d'Antan, Parc Marie-Victorin, Plein Air Drummond, Drummondville's Promenade Rivia, as well as several local producers, farmers' markets and agritourism farms. During the winter, outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy cross-country skiing centres, Mont Gleason and the region's many trails.
