Walking distance to three lakes. Trails for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing accessible directly from the property. Great for being together but retaining privacy - each bedroom has its own toilet! Off-grid energy system makes the house fully autonomous without sacrificing comfort.

The off-grid energy system combines solar electric panels with wood burning stove for heat. Do be aware that in the winter months, this means being able to make a wood fire!

An ecological house is like an organism - it thrives best with some attention and tender loving care. We will give you pointers and be available to answer any questions you might have. There is a propane backup generator to ensure that the electricity is never an issue - though we do try to minimize fossil fuel usage to keep the planet green!
