The " Escapade détente " (Relaxing getaway) cottage, CITQ no 304569, is located in the heart of the village of St-Anicet (approx.1 h from Montreal), one street from the shore, but not on the lake: -View of Lake Saint Francis (~200 feet from our property); -Ideal for a relaxing stay, alone, as a couple or with a few friends or family members (6 persons maximum). When it's cold outside, the cottage is the perfect place to relax in the country, in a quiet neighbourhood next to all amenities. After a cross-country skiing or snowshoes outing at the golf club, a walk in the small village or in the municipal park nearby, take a nap on the futon, get warm thanks to the wood burning stove, cook a nice meal in a efficient and fully-equiped kitchen, or relax while observing the birds or an end-of-the-day rose and orange sky! The cottage is 900 square feet, located in a very quiet private street, and offers an open kitchen and living room. It's welcoming, clean, and sunny, with many windows: -2 bedrooms (1 queen size bed; 1 double bed), plus 1 futon in the living room -bedding and linen included -Fully equipped (dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker and milk frother, free wi-fi, smart Roku TV, BBQ with utensils, clothes washer and dryer, etc.) -tap water has no odor or color (tested safe to drink and conform), water softener installed -secure storage for skis or bikes (upon request) -interior wood burning stove, during cold season, -(air conditioning in the living room, fans in the rooms, exterior wood fireplace, covered patio with furniture for dining, Adirondak chairs to relax outside, plus what is needed to have fun at the nearby beach during the hot summer season).
For those days of bad weather or movie nights, the smart Roku TV gives you access to free channels and films/movies, and to your Netflix profile, as well as to the public channels Radio-Canada, CBC and Télé-Québec.
The sound bar makes it easy to play music from a smart phone.
Winter :
The Jules-Léger park, which is 4 min. walking, attracts lake admirers. You can practice bird observation and take nice walks in the Réserve faunique du Lac St-François and, upon request to the owners, at the Centre d'intendance écologique Latreille (CIEL). The golf course, which is at approx. 10 minutes by car, offers cross-trails for walking, country skiing and snowshoeing. There are two skating rinks: one behind the school, the other in Cazaville.
Access to the cottage : independent arrival from the back door (key box with code).
Private parking spots (3) on the side of the cottage (parking not permitted in the street).
In the village, you can easily run a few errands, on foot or bike or by car.
Important : The cottage is entirely non smoker. Pets and fireworks are not allowed (see the "rules" of the cottage)
-Rental in high season (holidays, spring break, summer, etc.) is minimum 4 nights.
-Our cottage is for guests (of 25 y.o. and up) that are respectful of the neighbours (this is not the place
for "parties").
-Recreational vehicles (RV), or shelters of any kind are not allowed on the premises.
-A security deposit is requested and a contract must be signed.
-Note to persons with reduced mobility : exterior doors (front and back) have stairs, and there is a step
to access both bath and toilet.
-Not far from Montreal (slightly more than an hour) if you want to relax in the country, but not
recommended as an accommodation if your goal is to visit the city of Montreal : we would then
recommend to find a place on the island, or around it (e.g. in Laval, Longueuil).
A guide of the cottage is available on site, and a guide of the region is available once your reservation has been completed. Do not hesitate to contact us for tourist info! Our wish : offer you a warming place where you will like to come back to replenish your "batteries", to rest, and to enjoy nice, relaxing and memorable moments. It will be a pleasure to be your host!
Summer : The public beach at 4 min. on foot, in the nearby park Jules-Léger, attracts lake admirers and features a terrain and net for beach volleyball. We provide you with different items to enjoy the lake and the beach : 1 open kayak with paddle, nautical safety kit and a kart to bring it to the water (a 2nd open kayak could be available upon request), adult lifevests (regular or large), folding chairs for the beach, towels, a mask for kids to see under the water, a volley ball.

| Je connais bien le secteur pour avoir habité non loin de cet endroit. Nous avions besoin de tranquillité et nous avons passé une très belle semaine. Le chalet est parfaitement bien équipé, les lits sont confortables, et la vue sur le lac St-François est magnifique. Il y a toutes les commodités dont nous avions besoin. Il ne manque absolument rien et les propriétaires fournissent toutes les informations nécessaires pour que le séjour se passe bien et sont à l'écoute également. Nous y reviendrons!

| Pour une deuxième visite, un peu plus longue cette fois-ci (10 jours), nous avons encore été enchanté. Le site, la vue du lac (même si le chalet n'est pas directement sur le lac, nous pouvions en jouir) le côté douillet du chalet, tout était parfait! Nous avons profité du foyer extérieur qui nous a permit de finir une journée en beauté. Nous sommes allés à la plage, à quelques minutes à pied seulement et avons pu nous rafraichir car cette année nous avons eu de très belles et chaudes journées. En plus de nous régaler avec une bonne crème glacée qui est aussi tout près comme l'épicerie d'ailleurs. Nous avons pu nous concocter des soupers dignes de grands restaurants avec le BBQ sur place et tous les articles de cuisine accessibles. Lors de la visite de notre petit-fils, nous sommes allés au parc qui est lui aussi à quelques minutes à pied et il a pu s'amuser à son goût. Tous mes invités ont été unanimes... ce chalet est vraiment très agréable!!! Sans compter nos hôtes qui sont très disponibles et ainsi faire de notre séjour un moment des plus appréciés.

| Nous avons passé un très beau séjour, chalet parfaitement bien équipé, les lits sont confortables, et la vue sur l'eau rend l'expérience encore plus agréable. | Nous avons passés une très agréable semaine même si la température n'était pas formidable. Le chalet est très bien équipé, il est très confortable et joli. Nous avons pu profiter du calme, de la détente tout en prenant des marches entre les averses. Nous nous sommes fait de très bons repas en ayant tout ce dont nous avions besoin au niveau des accessoires de cuisine. Un beau chalet, de la bonne compagnie et un endroit charmant, rien de mieux pour relaxer, se détendre et s'amuser. Les lits sont très confortables. Je le recommande sans aucun doute. Merci à nos hôtes qui ont su par leurs messages nous faire sentir les bienvenus.

| Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour ici. Emplacement idéal : au c?ur même du village, tous les services à proximité (épicerie, fruiterie, boucherie, église) et proche du quai fédéral qui offre une vue exceptionnelle sur le lac et, sans oublier, ses couchers de soleil spectaculaires! Passionnés d'ornithologie, c'est aussi un endroit idéal pour observer et identifier divers oiseaux! Le chant de la tourterelle triste nous rappelle que nous sommes bel et bien à la campagne dans un tout autre décor que celui de la ville! Chalet bien équipé avec terrasse qui nous permet d'en profiter même les jours de pluie.
