Le 4672 is the ideal cottage for your family. Completely renovated and tastefully decorated, the property has a breathtaking view directly over Lac Saint-François. The cottage sits on a large 12,000-square-foot lot in a quiet neighbourhood, with access to a private dock that can accommodate your boat. Set in a large, quiet, sandy bay, the water is shallow, so swimming is ideal!
The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 in 2 bedrooms: one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. A single bed and a sofa bed in the living room complete the sleeping arrangements. Bathroom with washer and dryer. Large deck with BBQ, patio set and outdoor fire pit. Inside: heat pump, Wifi included, full kitchen.
ON THE WATER, RIGHT FROM THE COTTAGE : Private dock for your boat. Two public boat launches nearby, one of them less than 500 metres away. Excellent fishing area. The bay is sandy, shallow and calm, perfect for swimming and for a beginner kayaker. Two kayaks are available during your stay, to be returned to their shelter after each use. Universal-type flotation vests are available at the chalet. They do not fit all sizes, particularly young children. We recommend bringing your own vests if you plan to use the kayaks, especially with children. Selecting a properly fitted vest and wearing it remain the renter's responsibility.
THINGS TO SEE AND DO : Droulers-Tsiionhiakwatha archaeological site, a full-scale reconstruction of an Iroquoian village, 10 minutes away. Saint-Anicet municipal beach, free, with a renovated park and a snack bar. Lac-Saint-François National Wildlife Area in Dundee, with trails and boardwalks through the marsh, 15 minutes away. Leblanc vineyard, 18 minutes away. Saint-Anicet golf course 15 minutes away and Trout River golf course 20 minutes away. Close to ATV and snowmobile trails.
WHERE TO EAT : Restobar Chez Jordyn, in the Cazaville area of Saint-Anicet. Le Bootlegger Resto-Pub, on the Saint-Anicet golf course. La Cremalyne, grill restaurant with an ice cream shop right across the street. Resto Terrasse Fraisière Lamoureux for breakfast, surrounded by gardens. Brasserie Barabas in Sainte-Barbe, 15 minutes away, with live music Thursday through Sunday in season. La Marine Marchande & CO in Saint-Stanislas-de-Kostka for a fine dining evening, reservation required. Julio Pizzeria and Dynamite Pizzeria both deliver to the cottage. Huntingdon, 20 minutes away, and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, 25 minutes away, offer about twenty more options.
SERVICES : Grocery store and SAQ 10 minutes away. Large parking area for a trailer. Firewood is provided in limited quantity for the outdoor fire pit.
GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK : The property has exterior security cameras. There is no camera inside the house. NO pets allowed at any time, no exceptions, inside or out. A cleaning fee of $150 applies upon departure. Respect for the neighbourhood is important. No visits without authorization.
