Enjoy an unforgettable vacation on Isle-aux-Grues, one of the most beautiful places in Quebec, with the Plein Ciel outfitter's cottage as your vacation package. You'll have the house to yourself, as well as access to the outfitter's grounds to explore the high marsh and its incredible birdlife. THE HOUSE Stay in an ancestral farm house, on Isle-aux-Grues, in the middle of the St. Lawrence River. Located at the northeastern tip of the island and at the entrance to high marsh, the house has a unique view on three sides (north shore, south shore, high-marsh/ Isle-aux-Oies) and enjoys greater tranquility. The rental also includes access to a private reserve of several lots on the High-Marsh, an exceptional ecological environment known for its birdlife.
The house, a former dependence of the McPherson manor, has 4 bedrooms, two of which have 1 double bed and 1 single bed, and two others with 2 single beds. Extra beds for children can also be provided if necessary. The house is fully equipped, including dishwasher, washer and dryer, Internet, TV with Chromecast, BBQ, etc. Outdoor furniture and a screened-in porch will be in place for the summer.
PRIVATE RESERVE
The rental comes with unique access to several lots on the High-Marsh, recognized as a hotspot for biodiversity in Quebec. More than 200 bird species visit it, such as the short-eared owl, the yellow rail, the Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow, the snowy owl and the St. Martin's harrier. Different viewpoints along the river allow you to stop for a picnic or a break by the water.
THE ISLAND
L'Isle-aux-Grues, accessible by ferry (free) or by plane via Montmagny, is a jewel in itself. The only inhabited island in the archipelago, it contains the beauty of the landscapes of the river, the islands and the coast, the high marsh which connects it to Île aux Oies, century-old maple groves, agricultural fields and charming ancestral houses which form its heart.

Although we do our utmost to limit them, there can be some noise and odors associated with this use. - The high marsh is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, a choice menu for the birds that inhabit it, and the source of its biodiversity. It's a good idea to carry mosquito repellent with you, just in case the river breeze picks up. At home, a mosquito-screened veranda will also be in place.
